Rave for target.com CS

ami kio <...@cant–take–anymore–spam.com>
I was doing post Christmas shopping online, and I ordered a 6' metal bamboo
votive tree from target.com. I was tempted by the price (~$170 down to $35)
and free s/h. It holds 9 glass cones which hold the tea lights, but 2 of
the glass cones broke during shipment. Since they're somewhat unusual, I
emailed target.com, asking for replacement cones. Within 24hrs I had an
apology from a target.com representative, explaining that they would
normally ship me a replacement but had sold out of the bamboo tree. Since
it was sold out, they immediately refunded my money.
It's so nice to have a flawless customer service response from a large
company!

You definitely need to appreciate a company which empowers their employees to
make decisions. I can't stand when a sales person or customer service person
needs to make a thousand phone calls in order to give a refund, exchange or
perform some type of customer service.
