OT: Alt fashion related sightings from the home tour today

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
As posted in WAYWT I went on a home tour put on by a guild for our
children's hospital. The houses were absolutely gorgeous. One lady had
her own shoe closet, a small closet with ceiling to floor shoe racks on
both sides. When you faced the closet, you saw an armoire and then
racks on either side for boots. The top shelf had a small artificial
tree with shoe ornaments on it. If anyone is building a home, this would
be a great addition.
In another house the little girl's room was in beautiful pastels but the
highlights were a Hello Kitty telephone, cd player and lots of other HK
things. Another child (these kids are so lucky) in a different home had
a closet that had the door removed and there were strings of beads
covering the doorway yet with enough space between them to see all of
the clothing and the toys on the closet floor. That was totally
unrealistic. I know few children who don't have a messy closet. I
don't want to think about the beautiful bathrooms with all of the
cabinet space.

I saw a bunch of great HK items at Urban Outfitters recently (notably a
small, maybe 14", TV).

Target has a large number of HK items, including the aforementioned HK
TV and the HK toaster.
They also have a number of Spongebob Squarepants items (including a
yellow TV set) for those who find the mouthless feline exudes way too
much kawaii.
I was a bit disappointed that they haven't (yet) come out with the
Target toaster that burns a bullseye into the bread, but I've seen a
picture of it.
