Brown tights, what to wear with

mpam...@aol.comnospam (Mpamber)
I bought some brown tights from Old Navy. I was wondering what would look good
with them. I thought of knee length denim skirt with brown Lugz ankle boots.
How would black boots look with them? How about long khaki skirt?
Don't ask why I bought them. I seem to have a sock and hose buying tendencies.
I have been reading the reviews of world's softest sock so that may be next if
I can get to a Hanes outlet.
By the way, the Old Navy tights do seem to fit well. I am on the smaller side
and the small women's goes up to 120 pounds.

I love black with brown, but I would probably not mix in more colors (though
different *shades* of brown mixed with the brown tights and black boots
would be fine, imho). A tan skirt––or tan or brown suede would be really
nice.
Did Old Navy have any low–rise tights? They used to carry them but I
haven't seen them there for a few years.

I didn't see any low–rise tights. The ones I have don't seem to come too far. I
am short and sometimes have that problem.

The Walmart low–rise tights are great. They don't seem especially low–rise
on me, but regular tights often feel like they could easily reach my armpits
<G>. I mostly refuse to shop at Walmart but I did make a special stop there
a few weeks ago just to look for the tights; they had only three pairs in my
size and I bought 'em all. At $6, they aren't particularly cheap, but they
were $12 at Gap.

Brown is good as long as they are not "heavy colors" included with your
outfit like orange or yellow. Then you will look like a clown :–)

Got these also. You never could have enough thights.

They might be already at a retailer near you.

Have not seen navy since some winters...

I am also, which helps me finding the right hose.

I wore brown tights today with a long denim skirt and brown suede clogs.
When I bought the tights I thought I'd wear them with my light brown cord
skirt and maybe with my olive cord skirt. When it was warmer I wore them
with an olive trouser skirt. I always wear brown shoes or boots with brown
tights.
I believe one should have lots of pairs of tights on hand, because you
never know what you may buy in the future that'll match.

I just got 3 pair of Legacy tights (really good) from QVC. Black,
brown and charcoal grey. I will wear the black with black stuff but
the brown ones I will wear with some chocolate brown things I am
amassing this fall/winter. Since I don't wear short anything, you
will not be seeing much of my tights.
I do have a couple of long brown skirts I will wear them with and
brown boots. Helps create a smooth monotone legline that is very
flattering. Better than having a pair of bare colored legs peak out
between the boots and skirts. Will also wear them under pants to keep
warm and will put socks over them and then boots. Snow already
several times in Chi–town.

Think prints! I wear brown tights with print dresses and skirts that have
brown in the print (example: tiger print skirt) I also wear them with solid
brown dresses and skirts. I also like the combination of brown with black,
and even other solid colors, but the whole outfit needs to tie it all
together like it was done on purpose, if that makes sense.

I wrote OP and tried the brown tights with denim skirt and brown clogs. It
looked better than I thought.
Years ago I got my colors done and was told I was a winter. I stuck with a lot
of black clothes. These dark brown tights almost seem richer and fuller than
the black tights.
