50 degrees very cold in the morning. I had a color and cut this morning
and then went to the mall, which was quiet for a Tuesday morning. I'll
work this afternoon and dinner is at home (TDay turkey leftovers with
fresh green beans, salads and some tri–colored couscous).

We did not have any turkey since Thanksgving so today I just reheated it
and served it with my homemade cranberry sauce. Tomorrow I am making
turkey rice soup with homemade stock my son made. His favorite turkey
salad is turkey with celery, mayo, salt, pepper and hot sauce. There
are many ways to disguise the leftovers in soups, casseroles etc. if you
are tired of plain turkey. Trader Joe's has a yummy aioli garlic mustard
sauce.
To get back on topic, my Uggs have shearling inserts but since my feet
are different sizes I wore one in the right boot but took the one out of
the left boot. Both feet seemed equally warm today and, of course, no
one could tell.

TUESDAY... Every time I heard the temperature today, the number was
lower than it was before (75 this time last night, 55 this morning, 44
now, and still heading down). Went to work via the apartment office.
Spent day writing stuff. Came home and made my own dinner of
microwaved veggies, baked chicken, and baked "stick to the dish"
potatoes while watching (or at least listening) to TV. Now, reading

Today I feel very cold. It's in the 20's, at least it's sunny.
I'm wearing a long denim skirt with a slit up the front to the
knees, brown tweedy tights (from Kohls, maybe Nine West) pink, brown,
white plaid flannel shirt tucked in, brown leather belt, brown suede
Birkenstock clogs, I left my earrings on my dresser. Long black wool
coat. I added a felt flowery pink green and orange brooch to the
collar.
Since my retired parents and between jobs sister decided to stay until
next Saturday, we went through the Thanksgiving leftovers quickly.
I did make some turkey salad with celery, apples of course mayo, red
onions. Yeah, we all went to work/school and the guests stay home.

WEDNESDAY... Down to 37 this morning. To work via apartment office and
Kroger. Spent day in meetings and writing stuff. Came home and made my
own dinner but it was a sandwich washed down with OJ (nothing to brag

TUESDAY (TWO MORE WORKDAYS TO GO IN 2004)... Got up, E–mail check,
went to work via Kroger. It was mild (high just over 70) and light
rain on and off. Spent day working on the 2004–2005 software release.
Also, had my annual review (all the metrics were "met expectations" or
better). Came home to a typical stack of mail, and a refund check for
my VIOXX copay (you don't think Raymond V. Gilmartin wants people to
TAKE that stuff?). Made my own chicken, potatoes, and veggies... and
had a glass of "bachelor veggies" (V–8) while everything else was
cooking. Now listening to the news. For the day:

credit union and Kroger. Temperature kept dropping all day, with rain.
Worked two hours and then did a combination doctor/lunch trip. Doctor
is swapping out one of my meds. Went to the TLAs on the way back to
work: CVS and KFC, in that order. Worked about five hours, then I was
getting pretty ragged. We're getting down to a skeleton crew at work,
people are disappearing more and more as the week goes on; then we all
leave tomorrow until 2005! Came home to a WSJ and a CD in the mail.
Fixed my own chicken and rice, and veggies. Crashed in front of the TV
for a while, called the Farm, now listening to the news. For the day:

MONDAY... One nasty soggy morning in Houston. Tossed out two bags of
trash, fortunately they were plastic or they would have turned into a
big mess. Drove to work via credit union and Kroger, major nuisance
getting out each place. Got alternator belt wet in a big puddle, and
that made the air conditioner cut out; instant massive window fogging.
Fixed some test code I'd written a while back; condition that hadn't
shown up but it might. Had tortilla soup and fajitas for dinner,
stretched out for a nap but never quite made it there. For the day:

It's snowing!!!! We've had warmer weather so far this winter (in the
50's) but today the temp isn't supposed to go above freezing. Just

It's cold & cloudy with rain and snow moving in later this afternoon.
This morning, instead of both DH & I volunteering our time, he took some
of his siblings with him to help him pick up donations for a back–to–work
organization we support. The rest of us stayed home. We're all going to
have pizza as soon as everyone's ready (inlcuding myself) and then see
the Lemony Snicket movie. I don't think we'll make it home before the
weather hits; we all seem to be running a little late today.

poncho in my bag
My lipstick today is Clinique's Long Last Soft Matte lipstick in Pink
Chocolate with a little Chanel Glossimers in Brilliance on top.
I still can't bear any fragrance, so I smell like L'Occitane Shea Butter
body butter creme.

Mostly sunny with mild temps in the upper 50s. Continued
to work on an application code at the behest of a colleague.
Finally got it running and passed on the modified source
files to the benchmark team. Came home early for a dentist
appointment. Dinner will be chicken quesadillas and a salad.

o light green, vee neck coton tee from Elisabeth;
o mid–calf length, rayon challis skirt with a pretty
floral pattern on a navy blue background from
Appleseeds;
o Hanes SR hosiery in classic navy;
o square toe, low heel pumps in navy blue from

with small porcelain insets with pink roses;

THURSDAY... Not as cold this morning. Lunch newswatching surprise for
this long–ago ex–Wichita resident: the "BTK" serial killer
investigation, a cold case for many years, has suddenly turned hot
again! Spent day writing stuff. Came home and made my own dinner;
chicken and rice, nuked veggies, and the OJ I probably should have had
at breakfast but who had breakfast today? I've got the news on the TV,
but I'm treating the TV like it was a radio... For the day:
