Seek advice – Hair gel for men

Mad <...@toronto.com>
I'm a guy in my thirties and I'd never used hair gels until
recently. I like the wet, fresh, young look they give me
instead of my hair's usual dullness.
However, I don't like hair gels that give out any smell or
fragrance, which would attract people's attention and make
people wonder what I have on my hair. I've visited
RightAid, Walgreen and Walmart to smell out LA Looks,
LOREAL, Liz Claiborne, Neutrogena and others. All of them
are somewhat scented.
To guys who use hair gels often, can you recommend a hair
gel that holds strong, doesn't become flaky when hours pass
by, and doesn't smell?
Since I smell them when I hold them really close to my nose.
the above brands might actually be safe to use in everyday
life unless another person puts his or her nose really close
to my hair. If that's the case, let me know. Then I'll
just buy the above brands.

IME as a stylist, most hair gels have some sort of scent. many
consumers purchase products based solely on the way the product
smells. this is especially true when it comes to shampoos and
conditioners, but it can also be a selling point when it comes to
pomades, gels, waxes, and whatnot.
i have some great recommendations for products that will give you
the look you want, but they're all scented.
good luck!
