Shoe brands similar to Born and Josef Seibel

ichy...@aol.com (Ichydog)
I have been playing on a shopping site, shoesdepot.com, looking for similar
styling to Born and Josef Seibel. I like flatter heels and the rounded box
toes. I don't care for Birkenstocks. I do like closed clogs.
thanks!

Romika and Reiker (or is it Rieker?) might work for you. Don't forget to
"play" at zappos.com, shoes.com and nordstrom.com for awesome selection.
Warning: "playing" can quickly turn into shoe–a–holism.

p.s. Trying to finance my purchases by selling purses and Wolford tights on
ebay: www.tinyurl.com/68g26 . I love to do ebay–biz with other a.f.ers. If
you bid and win, please let me know so I can throw in some extras.

I think I know what you mean.
When I moved in 1994, one of my co–workers (who lived next door) noted
at work what the moving van was loading.... three 3.1 cubic foot
moving boxes labeled "SNEAKERS."
To my defense, I was able to say "Only one of those is completely full
of sneakers. The other two are only mostly full of sneakers, I
remember there's also a towel or two in the box." <grin/duck>

I would have told him that the boxes were actually full of body parts from
nosy neighbors.

Yeah, I second the Eccos or maybe a more casual non–boot style from Naot or
Timberline? That's what I was going to recommend. Also Clark's makes some
that are similar to Borns and Seibels. For closed toe clogs look at
Haflinger for a lower, smaller, more casual heel and Dansko for a
traditional looking heel that adds height.

Thanks for all the brands. I had some preconceived ideas about some of them.
I should have mentioned that shoesdepot.com' searches ebay shoe auctions. It
has a handy list of brands to just click on
Lisa.
