What are *you* wearing today?

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
62 degrees It is gray and gloomy outside, but there is lots of warmth
indoors. I shipped one child off to study with a huge lunch box filled
with wholesome food and treats. Another is making a layered hot
chocolate mix (December Sunset magazine) for inexpensive holiday gifts
and I am making my second batch of chex mix. DH is outside chopping
wood and the son, well he is still sleeping but he works this evening so
we give him some slack. I hope all of you holiday shoppers were
successful today and do post what you bought so I can be totally
envious. We are taking out the holiday decorations and having dinner at
home, marinated grilled lamb, broccoli and pilaf, so I may stay in my
comfy slug clothes all day!
iris sweats from Nordstrom

Christmas cards this afternoon. Dogs, as usual, sleeping.

FRIDAY (THANKSGIVING DAY + 1)... Got up...@ 7:30 and threw out the
accumulated trash. Did some computer stuff in the morning while I
watched the market at large not do much of anything (NUCOR Steel and
Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV shot up) in the truncated session
that ended at noon CST. I also gave myself a good scrubbing. After
that, I got out for tortilla soup and fajitas. It's up to 77 outside,
considerably warmer than they thought it would get today. I think I'm
going to do some on–line shopping and Web site stuff today; Keds sent
me a new customer service address and I've still got the old one on
the Web site. For going out:
Gray heather T–shirt
Black Nike shorts (2" silver left–leg SWOOSH)
Nike Vandal Supreme sneakers (silver/red/black)

Do we now have to call you Sir Joe or something similar?
Only if you see me in perfectly ridiculous headgear with the Spanish Consul (or
higher) within sight.

Sunny now, rainy later, in the 50s.
charcoal worsted wool skirt (long, straight cut, slit in back)
white long sleeve heavy cotton scoop neck top
wide but short oblong chiffon scarf: leaf green with a photo print of daisies
in lighter shades of green and contrasting black trim––the scarf is made of
double layers of the fabric so it gives a kind of 3–D effect with the pattern.
This was made for me, for no particular reason by a co–worker who said "You
like bright colors and this is a color you look really good in." :–)
black medium heel/wedge heel loafers with a strap and (silver) buckle across
the top of the tongue
vintage rhinestone earrings, set like a spray of flowers
usual diamond and sapphire rings
silver faced watch (elongated rounded rectangular face––like an old TV set)
with a row of rhinestones on both sides on a leaf green leather band
for outside: 3/4 length black single breasted all weather coat, faux fur
collar

54 high with lows in the low 30s It is simply a frosty week and won't
change until we get rain. My car is repaired. I had three days of a
rental that had Sirius, the satellite radio. I can't imagine why anyone
would want 222 stations but I found a few I liked. Today I have a
manicure, WW meeting and then tutoring so I will have time to continue
with all the things that need to be done at home.

SATURDAY OF THANKSGIVING WEEKEND... Woke up...@ 6:00, felt like I had
slept almost 6 hours in the same spot! Ran a load of laundry, checked
E–mail, got a drink. Then, napped some more. Got out for lunch, it was
