those little bumps on my upper arms

"minicooper" <minicoop...@charter–nospam–.net>
does anyone know what causes them, and how to get rid of them? i've used a
loofa, and scrubs, but they always seem to be there. not horrible, but i'd
like to have smooth upper arms.

It could be keratosis pilaris, but I'm definitely not a dermatologist. Here is
a link that may help you:

I had luck with an AHA or BHA lotion – something like the Jergens Skin
Smooothing lotion.

A friend whose brother is a doctor told her those little bumps in the
back of the upper thigh are an indication of vitamin A deficiency.
Now, for all I know, she may have made that up.

Yep, it's true :) Deficiencies in Vitamin A could cause keratosis pilaris.

Possibly keratosis pilaris. That's how my dermatologist diagnosed the
bumps I have on my upper arms and the backs of my thighs. He prescribed
Lac Hydrin 12%, which works wonders. That strength is prescription only
in the US, but there's an OTC version of 5%. I think the 12% strength
is OTC in Canada.

Neutrogena sells a bump minimizing lotion just for this purpose. I've
been using it for months. It works really well.
