Not much help. I keep a favorites list WELL stocked at all times, and I've
also gone to the site a couple of times, shopped, and left without ordering.
I'm pretty sure that I will go back to purchase a gift for my son's teacher
though, so I'll probably find something to put in the basket for myself!

Of *course* you are missing something! What about your usual skincare
stuff? You can get Chanel through them, remember? And makeup brushes...
Do you have enough Benefit Dandelion/Georgia to keep you looking flushed all
year long? Is your Nars Dolce Vita worn down to the nub? L'Occitane has an
awesome sampling box with a massive tube of hand cream (apparently the
popular choice as a.f. h.g.) along with some of their other stuff.
And don't forget gifts for friends––like people whose faux economic policies
you utilize to justify purchases throughout the year...

I can't find anythng either, except for Stila Winter and they're out of stock
(in other words, they wanted to get the graphics up first, without the stock).
My only other item I REALLY want is CSP Vanilla Coco, but with the discount,
figure in shipping and it all cancels each other out. It'd have to be a large
order for it to make it worth it to me.
I've just got too much stuff here.

True Sephora confession: I am intimidated by them and I refuse to go into one
(for now!!) because I am afraid I have no self control. I am also afraid of
having "too much" coz right now all of my makeup (excluding nailpolishes) fits
into ONE Caboodle. And, I like it that way. Not meaning to sound weird or

speaking as one who has too much makeup (for me, for a lifetime, for the
lifetimes of all my friends), i understand. i'm really doing my best to use up
what i've got, but aside from some lipglosses, nothing seems to really get
finished. and i realize that if i kept everything in one place, i'd always know
which colors i don't need to replace.

Yeah, I'm pretty funny to shop with sometimes. I carry an item around
forever deciding whether to buy it, then end up spending triple on something
else. T
this was me last Sunday at Sephora. I carried around the Lorac mini gloss set
and then JUST as I walk to the counter, put it back. Ladies here who shop with
me will tell you I will go in, load UP a basket, unload it, reload it, back and
forth. I annoy myself sometimes with it.
That's when I usually do the impulse purchase. :–)
Looking forward to hopefully catching up with you. there's a couple of
Sephoras here and maybe I can intro you to my favorite Stila MA in the world.

"Jamie" <zuschlag–sequ...@tds.net>
I've been putting off posting this because I knew it would be an extensive
list. When I went to Vegas just after Thanksgiving, I stopped at the
Venetian Sephora to do some expected shopping. It resulted in the following
purchases:
http://tinyurl.com/5mnws in Be It. $32 was a lot for the small palette but
the colors were wonderful and I couldn't resist. The palette that I saw in
the store was open without the lid and I wasn't aware of the awkward way
that the top lid opens to reveal the products. You can access all of them
but the lid stays open only when forced and one of the glosses is difficult
to get to. And the rest of the ones in the store were sealed. I haven't
tried this in the daylight yet (just put a little of the lipstick on my lips
and it feels heavenly soft) as I'm trying to hold off for Christmas. Don't
count on it though!
http://tinyurl.com/49dyj on the recommendation of the SA. I was considering
a DDF product (http://tinyurl.com/6lbog) and she suggested this product as a
cheaper, as good, maybe better, alternative as it can be mixed with any
moisturizer before applying. I'm still interested in the DDF but am willing
to give this a try.
http://tinyurl.com/6hnck I carried this around for about 45 minutes before
I decided that I wouldn't buy it. I really wanted this one
http://tinyurl.com/6n5ue but that particular Sephora did not have it,
probably because it's not the most recent product. I asked my DH to return
Skin Deep to it's rightful home, and I'm not sure, but I get the feeling
that he may have purchased it for me for Christmas instead of putting it
back. He was gone an excessive amount of time and knew an awful lot about
the price. You wives know the feeling. That's fine with me!
http://tinyurl.com/62tds after someone's raves here. Well, I Googled and
sorted by date and couldn't come up with any recent posts but I'm not crazy
and I know that someone recently posted about this. I've seen that it has
been a love/hate thing in the past but I'm going to form my own opinion
(especially since I've already bought it!).
http://tinyurl.com/6yh9d 5 bottles to use as various Christmas/stocking
gifts. Also as a gift for DS1's preschool teacher. And a bottle for me and
DH.
http://tinyurl.com/5usuh for my SIL for Christmas who just found out she is
expecting after 4 years of wishing and hoping. She is a teacher who tends
to 1st graders who have difficulty paying attention and behaving and, if I'm
not mistaken, is up for Teacher of the Year in Gwinnett(sp) County. I hope
she enjoys this.
OT: We were in Jefferson, GA after our trip to Vegas to pick up the boys
before our 7 1/2 hour drive home the next day. Bro and SIL invited us and
grandparents out to dinner. Despite warning them that the youngest (15
months) had not had an afternoon nap and was guaranteed uncooperative, that
the 3 year old rarely sits still for ALL of a dinner, and begging them to be
sure the place was kid–friendly (interpret to mean somewhere where
occasionally noisy kids are not frowned upon), we found ourselves esconced
at a mid–level nice restaurant. The kids definitely acted up, mostly the
little one, and he had to be removed from the place before DH finished
dinner and before the lady next to us birthed a calf. Anyway, after we
wrangled those boys for a couple of hours and returned home to the downward
spiral that is nightime baths and readying for bed, I heard Bro exclaim to
SIL "Boy, you're going to be busy!" To which she shockingly replied "You're
going to be busy too!" I think they were both stunned at the reality that
is small children! MIL said that she thought it was wonderful that they
were exposed to it. Anyway, just a day in the life.
http://tinyurl.com/3l2mu as a gift for my 14 year old niece.
http://tinyurl.com/6m52b that I'd been lusting after.
http://tinyurl.com/543yy for myself.
http://tinyurl.com/4bzgt in Tickle.
http://tinyurl.com/5lgco so I may try to apply my foundation now with a
brush! The brush is more tapered than it appears in this picture. It also
has a very long handle that I hope will help with control while applying.
http://tinyurl.com/6dy5l just for kicks!
That's the end of it.
Jamie
P.S. Don't get upset over the comment about the lady birthing a calf. I
was that person a few years ago and couldn't stand to be subjected to
others' misbehaving (possibly tired) children. I've been on both sides and
am now serving my penance!

What a wonderful shopping haul! I am sure the recipients will be very
happy and you too. Perhaps your Bro and SIL can volunteer to babysit for
you to get more real life experience as practice before they have their
own. You did give them fair warning about what to expect.
Audrey
Audrey,
My purse thought it quite a haul too, but I had prepared DH and he knew what
to expect. I consider some of it my own Christmas shopping. I was tired
last night and forgot to mention that I got a TON of samples and other
things. When he checked out (as I was still peeking around), he said they
didn't put anything extra in the bag samplewise. Leave it to an AF'er's
husband. He immediately asked the SA for all of the samples to match this
huge purchase. She acquiesced and I'm sure I got twice as many samples as
purchases. Shhhh. Santee will be happy about that.
Yes, it would definitely be nice to have the babysitting help from Bro and
SIL as she is a much more patient person than myself (as evidenced by her
job as teacher) but they live too far away to be of help in this regard. I
know that just one child/baby will be much more manageable to them then both
of my little boys at once, hee hee!

One time I needed to stop at a store (I can't remember which one it
was) while a friend was along with me. When we pulled up he said he
was going to stay in the car because "I might see something I can't
live without". :)
There are some stores like that for me. I've always avoided going to
Sephora stores for just that reason, even when I'm in town. At least
on the website I can add and remove things without feeling like an

Heather
Heather,
That item was the Prescriptives Magic Liquid Potion. After purchasing the
liquid version, it seems to me that the same someone who posted about this
recently said that this wasn't the best form to use it in. It also comes in
a cream. But I forgot and hope that this works just as well. I'm thinking
for someone who doesn't need as much coverage like me, with it being under
foundation, the liquid will be fine.
Yeah, I'm pretty funny to shop with sometimes. I carry an item around
forever deciding whether to buy it, then end up spending triple on something
else. The funniest thing is sometimes DH will say "Go back and get the
original item that you put back because you know it'll keep you awake at
night wondering about what you missed!". How well he knows me!
I will be in your area again at Christmas (spending it with the in–laws this
year). I'll e–mail you later.
I'm glad you all enjoyed the splurge. I thought the least I could do was to
let you in on it.
Jamie
P.S. Remember that I don't have access to a Sephora here and this trip gave
me a chance to look at items on my 'extensive' favorites list in person. It
also gave me a chance to browse and choose more items, some that I wasn't
necessarily interested in before I saw them in person.
Heather, did you go try on the dress?
