What hair product?

"Matt" <mcollins...@yahoo.com>
There are so many haircare products available that you'd spend a fortune
trying them all. Could somebody give me some general pointers on the basic
types of products? I'm male, hence my name. My hair is kind of long. It's
straight, fine hair and I have a classic layered/feathered style. It's a tad
longer in the back, but that's been layered too so I don't look like Billy
Ray Cyrus. Plus it's long everywhere too. Anyway I don't want a full, big
hair look. I want it to lay down and have lots of texture. To be honest, I
like the soft, damp feel that pastes offer. What about pomades? I like my
hair to lean on the heavy side, I wash it every day anyway.

I'm not a hair maven, just a wash, comb and go sort of girl, but I wonder if
wanting your hair to "lay down" AND "have lots of texture" are mutually
exclusive if you have fine hair. I occasionally use something to style or
smooth my hair, and I find that it feels "coated" and gets sort of limp and
lifeless by the end of the day. (My hair is just "medium"––fairly straight,
average thickness and in good condition because I never bleach it.)

Trying to finance my purchases by selling purses and some other
over–purchases on
ebay: www.tinyurl.com/68g26 . I love to do ebay–biz with other a.f.ers. If
you bid and win, please let me know so I can throw in some extras.
