I agree. Lately I've been using the L'Occitance immortelle hand cream
because I love the scent.

Another Yes for the Avon Moisture Therapy hand cream. Inexpensive, yet
absorbs well and is non greasy.

Davies' Gate Whole Wheat Body Lotion which I keep by the bathroom
sink. It has a just showered smell and is light, non greasy but very,
very effective. I also like TBS Shea Body Butter. Mercier Au Lait is
a splurge, but very effective and smells yummy for the cooler months.
I wish I liked Avon Silicone Glove, Care Deeply, etc, but I find
they're all greasy and seem to "sit" on the skin w/o moisturizing.
YMMV.

I've found a lot of inexpensive effective hand creams on the market,
but really the trick to unchapped hands in the winter is to apply
cream after EVERY hand washing. These are my current favorites (in no
particular order):
Sally Hansen's 18–hr protective hand cream
Avon Silicone Therapy
Yves Rocher Arnica
Herbacin glycerin hand cream (contains silicone for lasting
protection)
No greasy feel from any of these. I keep a pump jar of cream on my
desk, next to every sink and a tube in my purse.

I've been using BBW Hand Therapy Healing Hands Cream –– nice
fragrances, not too greasy; and Vaseline Healthy Hands Essentials.
I'm relatively pleased with both. Of course, its still in the 50s
here. Nothing will make me happy when it finally gets cold.

Another vote for this one. Also, add H2O Plus, and Vaseline (the pink–trimmed

I loved the feel of the Perricone hand cream but it sure smells awful and is
ridiculously pricey at $80!!!

I bought this L'Occitane set last year; I think it's a great deal. The tube
of hand cream is huge! Of course, it will probably be "temporarily out of
stock" until after the friends & family sale:

When you really feel like treating yourself, because it is
expensive: Pharmacopia handcream in Lavender. Normally I don't like

Use google and you will see that you can find it at www.beautyhabit.com,
www.joybeauty.com or www.uncommonscents.com It is sold at boutiques and
independent stores. Where I live I've found it at three different gift
shops. The first time I saw it in town it was at an interior
decorator's studio. He had the line of bath products. Another retailer
is a men's clothier/gift shop.

There's a jar of this sitting on my desk. I haven't been satisfied with
it. On my hands it seems to soak in and disappear. On the other hand
when I came down with an allergic rash to a new shampoo, it was soothing
and softening on my itchy neck and chest. I like my Palmers better for
hand cream, though.
I just thought of another hand cream I like a lot –– Gardeners' Hand
Therapy from Crabtree and Evelyn. The only reason I've only bought it
once is the price. I wash my hands a lot (dogs, contact lenses, basic
obsessive cleanliness) and go through hand cream too fast to keep
spending $14 or whatever it was on a tiny tube.

Due to handling weightlifting chalk all the time, my hands can get
very dry. I have gotten the most help from a dermatological product
called Acid Mantle ( http://www.medichest.com/acidmantlecream1lb.html
). You can get it at pharmacy counters, or –– as I found just now
when I looked for a link to post –– online. Not sexy, but very
effective.
