What I Ordered Today

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
I'm still on a roll to finish the bulk of shopping this week. I ordered
for my son Bucky Katt;s Big Book of Fun: A Get Fuzzy Treasury, A Pearls
Before Swine Treasury and Poet of the Appetites: The Lives and Loves of
M.F.K. Fisher by Joan Reardon. I also ordered 2 pairs each of the
world's softest socks for the girls and DH. How will I separate these
in the laundry since my son and I own them too? I still need to locally
buy and order on line food items for DH's niece and other relatives. I
have to firm up gifts for my hair stylist, manicurist and a few others.
I just have a huge list of people for whom I buy gifts, but luckily I
don't mind the shopping!

Actually i ordered it a couple days ago:
http://tinyurl.com/5gsnu
My son's girlfriend (17) is a cow–collector and i think this is so cute,
even if it is probably too juvenile to actually USE – good addition to
a collection. All sorts of other animals, too. On sale and currently free
shipping, i couldn't go wrong.
Also ordered this for myself, in brown:
http://tinyurl.com/3oyuc
The white was too snowbunny–ish for me (probably cute on a younger person)
and i already have a black poncho (which i love, reminds me of back in the
early 70's or so).
Also ordered some scented oils on ebay since i love to make wax tarts.

Use a permanent marker and put an initial underneath the toe.
Or just a dot – but different colours for each person.

Yep, I agree! It's just so hilarious and witty! I–Wei (who doesn't post to
AF any longer) told me about it last year and I've been hooked ever since.
Far Side is my other fave (though I guess you wouldn't technically call that
one a "cartoon strip"), but they are both so good that I find them hard to
say which is better. I have two of the "big" Get Fuzzy books (basically
means all of them) and this year's tear–off calendar (which is at work). I
need to get the 2005 one!

My DD's both want socks for xmas, warm socks, like mine. My socks are
inexpensive wool/cashmere blend socks from Target. I hunted for them
forever last year, tired of having cold tootsies, but too cheap to
splurge on 100% cashmere socks, which you can't throw in the washer
anyway.
Am I the only one who's noticed that there's a wealth of warm dress
sock options for men, but alas, for women, everything seems to be
cotton, silk, or rayon blends? Which aren't warm at all!!! It's even
worse trying to find warm socks for kids. Luckily, my DD's feet have
grown and they can now fit into a small woman's sock instead of
children's sizes.
