These are the holiday specials that will come out in a couple weeks – I saw the
paperwork at the MAC counter at Nordstrom last Tuesday, and have placed a
pre–order for the tastis and the lipglass charms.
I want to buy them at Nordstrom to accrue points towards Nordstrom GC's. It's
amazing how often I get one of those $20 GC's in the mail....I just used my
last one on a Christmas present on Tues.

Pam,
I tried this shipping code and was told that I was not eligible to receive
this offer. Any more suggestions?
Thanks,
Jamie

Cary – I just got my invite for the next round of shopping & champagne at
Nordstrom. It's time for the 10 pts/$. Can't wait! I'm making my list. Those
GCs are quite the deal.

Thanks for the free ship code!

They were officially released yesterday. If you're interested in the Paints
set, you can only get that one at freestanding stores, Gloss or MAC.com.

You live on St. Mary's? How cool. My friend Lillia lives there. It's so
beautiful. Truly one of GA's hidden gems. It's on my short list of places to
retire.

It is a beautiful place and growing all of the time though. Real estate is
really beginning to boom. If you're seriously thinking about retirement
here, we'd love to have you but you must look soon!
E–mail me if I can get you any additional information. No, I'm not an agent
or anything, just willing to help!
Jamie
P.S. I know a Lillia. I actually know her parents well; she's almost half
my age. I'm not sure of her last name though because I'm not sure if its
the same as her parents or not. Her family calls her Lilly too.

I wanted to update on my order. Very strange. DH and I returned last
evening from a weekend trip to Orlando (see my Sephora trip post) and I had
an e–mail from MAC stating that my charge for the above order had been
declined because my mailing address could not be verified. What?! This is
the same card that I use for all of my purchases, and considering how much I
use it, it would have been more understandable if it had been declined
because of the charges, but certainly not because of address verification.
After verifying with the CSA that my address was correct and that my name on
the order was just as it appears on my CC, not including a middle initial,
she indicated that MAC had recently tightened their CC security and this had
become a recent problem. She said it would be turned over to management
since they were the only ones to override any declination. I also told her
that I wanted to know soon because I was afraid that these items would be
gone before my order could be shipped. She indicated that she understood
but guaranteed nothing. The good news is that I called again first thing
this morning and the order had been cleared for shipping according to
another CSA.
I don't know if this was a fluke and I understand that they must control CC
integrity and security but when it begins to foul up the honest person's
orders, I get a little miffed. I don't mind that it's happened once; I hope
that it never happens again. Customer service was very polite in both
instances. And, by the way, my address is a regular street address.
Nothing strange or unusual. So I'm not sure what triggered their problem.
The only snafu that I've ever run into is that St. Marys (my town) must be
totally spelled out as Saint Marys. But most sites won't even accept the
order unless that's remedied.
Hmmm.
