StriVectin–SD

mare...@aol.com (Mare555)
Anyone having any results with this? I've been using it religiously for about
4 weeks and I'm seeing some definite softening around my eyes and crow's feet.
Anyone else having some encouraging results?

Oooh I would like to know too. I saw the ad in In Style and am very
intrigued by this.

There is mention of StriVectin–SD in this month's Allure (A. Jolie on cover).
An article on page 156 titled "Better than Botox?" outlines a study (funded by
Botox) that compares StriVectin with Botox, Wrinkle Relax by DDF, and
Hydroderm. After 4 months on the creams the women found minimal improvement in
their wrinkles. Then they got Botox and had significant improvement. DUH. The
StriVectin people want to sue.

then the strivectin people oughta dig up some independent studies on their own
product! they, and their pharmaceutical machine (the folks who make zantrex and
all those diet pills) are the only source of studies.

I'm not expecting miracles but I do see some softening. The problem is that SV
is so expensive. FWIW, Serious Skin Care has come out with their version of SV
called RuLinea–FX. I've checked the ingredients and they are the same and
about 30% less than SV.

It's the Matrixyl that does the magic. I use a product from my biz
that has the actual ingredient plus two more biopeptides (and at less
$$).
After 3 kids over 18 yrs I wanted something but couldn't believe the
prices. I've used mine for about 6 weeks now and my belly feels so
supple, the deep stretch marks have become softer and lighter with
less of a ridge feel and the same on my bosoms––nicer cleavage this
holiday season for sure!!
Just read an article last month in the Long Island Newsday about the
competition in the wrinkle cream, something like "Creme de la creme"
too bad they never put it online or I'd post a link.
Do a search for skincare review sites, I read one that said some
people were sensitive to the formula because of the Peppermint oil,
around the undereye is too tender for such a strong essential oil.

about
feet.
I've been using it for about 9 months, now about once a day. I definitely have
seen fine lines ease, and one deeper one fade quite a bit. I'm breakout prone,
but this didn't irritate my skin. It helped make the bags under my eyes less
noticeable. I also put it on the stretch
marks on my hips, and they've faded by about 90%. I'm still on the original
tube, still a bit left, so it doesn't seem to be that expensive. Maybe another
moisturizer would have worked as well on my face, but I doubt it would have
also faded the stretch marks. That alone was worth the price.

Bought the 'generic' version at CVS for $25. (29 with $5 coupon). It's called
Preventin–AD or something close to that. Seems to be doing something, but I've
only been using it a short time.
