Britney Spears "Curious"

al...@webtv.net (A. K. Hyatt)
I received a sample of this in a recent Sephora order, a nice size
spray vial. I can't place it, but it smells exactly like a fragrance I
had years ago. It reminds me of my junior high years– mid–80's. I don't
particularly like the scent; it's rather cloying. I wore the typical
drug store fragrances back then: Heaven Scent, Love's Baby Soft,
Charlie, Vanilla Fields, some of the Designer Imposters. But I don't
believe Curious is like any of these...it could even be an after bath
splash or shower gel that I'm remembering. I just can't figure out what
it reminds me of. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know...and try
to refrain from the Britney jabs. :) Okay, if they're funny, then go
ahead...

That's funny. I was just reading an article yesterday agreeing with
you, that said it smelled like 15 teenaged girls had just spent 30
minutes testing things at a cosmetic counter.
The article also talked about Clay Aiken, who apparently smells like
"fresh laundry" and speculated what is in his aftershave. I remember
citrus/asian, as the underscent, I think.

I tried Curious from a sample too, and had the same reaction. While I didn't
find it particularly offensive, it smelled to me like cheap cologne sold at
drugstores with the target market being young teenage girls. Very generic and
unimaginative.

It smells like a perfume I gave to my mom years ago called 273 I think.

I think it smells a little like "Electric Youth" –– remember that pink Debbie
Gibson fragrance?

I had Electric Youth when I was in Jr. High!! I liked it, but it did
smell like cheap perfume. When I smell Curious, I don't smell cheap
perfume but it's similarly cloying. Cloying is the right word for this
perfume.Probably the only interesting thing about the perfume is that
it comes w/ a squeeze atomizer, but it's hardly enough to make me want
to buy it.
