They are like crack cocaine.
I *adore* them. I limit myself to buying them only when I am abroad,
so I hoard the products like you wouldn't believe...bath bombs,
mostly.

Lush seems to be hit or miss for a lot of people (mostly because they are so
fragrant or very strange. They aren't too expensive, so it never hurts to
try a few things! Let us know what you are thinking about getting!
My favorite products are Coalface soap, and Breeze on a Sea Air toner.
These are two products I have repurchased and can't seem to give up. More
Likes:
Potion Lotion(smells awesome)
Eau Roma Water toner.
Big– it's sort of a salt scrub for your hair. I use big when I use a hair
mask since it is stripping.
Ocean Salt– a heavy duty exfoliator that smells like a margarita(not for
very sensitive skin).
Their gifts are packaged nicely, and customer service is good.
Dislikes–
Although Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo is great for my hair, I had more than
a few comments that I smelled like Patchouli, and I didn't want to be that
fragrant with that fragrance. Their conditioners, which all smell great,
were generally too heavy for my fine hair.
Fresh Farmacy– left a calamine film
Mask of Magnaminty (too goopy)
Tea Tree Water– too irritating
O.k. but not great:
Herbalism– almost too wierd to use
Ambrosia shaving cream– I like kiss my face better
Dream cream– too smelly
Ginger products– smelled like aftershave
Back for Breakfast– smells nice, but not out of the ordinary as far as
shower gels go.
Bottom line, some of their stuff is very strange, but can be effective and
smell nice. They are worth trying, but you are bound to have a few misses.
Hth!

Potion Lotion(smells awesome)
Yes!
This was the only item that I simply had to have when visiting the Lush store
in Georgetown during the AFDC event last April.

I love the bubble bars. A tiny piece produces lots and lots of bubbles.

I absolutely loathe Lush products . I find them harsh, the fragrance
overpowering and they give me dermatitis.

My DD10 and DD12 adore them. I am so–so on them but like to give them
as gifts. The girls like the bath bombs that have sparkles and rose
petals in them. I'm happy because it gets them in the bath, although it
is a pain to clean up all the rose petals from the jacuzzi jets
afterwards. They also like this moisturizer bar that has glitter in it
– I confess I've tried it out myself and it's great for those glamorous
nights when you want a little sparkle on your cleavage. DD12 is getting
a big assortment of Lush items for her bday this week.
My major gripes with them are: 1) their web site is lousy and doesn't
include everything you can find in the store; 2) their packaging is
lousy (they use newspaper and the items often come in a box that looks
like a gorilla handled it – be wary if you're sending them as gifts –
invest in the wrapping option or have it shipped to yourself first so
you can take the items out, wrap them and re–package properly,
otherwise your recipient might think you sent them a bomb or anthrax or
something); 3) their store is very cool and fun, except that I can't
stay inside it for longer than 5 minutes without starting to feel sick
from all the perfumes and odors. (but then again, I can barely walk
through the perfume department either).
Otherwise, definetly worth a try.

For chicagoans: Lush is now open in chicago on armitage and fremont (a
block or two east of the brown line el stop).
I went yesterday, and found the scents so overwhelming I couldn't smell
any individual items. A sales associate gave me some coffee beans to
smell beforehand, but it couldn't cancel out the smell of the store. I
bought a bath bomb and a couple of bath melts for a friend. Luckily
they smelled good (to her) when she got them.

i love some, don't love some :). right now, i love the daddy–o shampoo, which
smells just like c. howard's violet candies, and is a lovely purple and is
meant to keep blonde hair bright, not brassy. i also love the solid shampoo
bars, especially the chamomile. and the bath bombs rock, although they do leave
a bit of debris in the tub. some of the bar soaps are great, but they seem to
be dramatically more expensive here in the us than they are in the uk.
michele, who is going to keep pretending the ny store isn't so close to my
apartment, lalala...

I realise this thread is rather old but I thought I'd post my opinion.
really do adore Lush products but I understand how some people coul
feel otherwise! My favourites are
– Rock Star soa
– Melting Marshmallow Moments Mel
– Creamy Candy bubble ba
– Think Pink bath ballisti
– Two Timing Tart bubble ba
– I Should Coco soa
– Honey I Washed the Kids soa
– American Cream hair conditione
Most of these are sweet, vanilla–y scents. I REALLY recommend th
American Cream conditioner, the fragrance lasts all day and it'
absolutely lovely. I very much like Lush's easy–to–access ingredien
info as well as their stance behind not using animals as test subjects
They also let you know which of their products are vegan and what not
it's quite nice
