ro...@marigny.UUCP (Robyn)
ok, actually this weekend. i was in SF and had lots of time to myself
to shop to my heart's content.
a tahari suit from loehmann's. love these suits! in a dark grey/black
tiny geometric print.
2 pr tahari pants ...@ ross. low–rise mens–style trousers, w/lycra.
looks great on slim hips. grey w/white pinstripes, and blue–grey.
cream v–neck rayon lycra–blend, slim–fitting jersey pullover
2 pr RL Polo Kelly jeans. a–ha! i found a pair of these at marshall's
last year for $5, and i didn't realize they were the non–stretch kelly
style. again, great for slim hips.
BCBG keriman pointy–toe, kitten–heel flats in metallic olive

*Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel – sounds like a great product
based on the reviews I've read on MUA and Allure.
*Back to Basics Raspberry Almond Intensive Conditioner – used this a few
years ago for a long time and I really liked it. For some reason I stopped
and now I want to try it again.
*Back to Basics Raspberry Almond Shampoo – unlike the conditioner, I haven't
tried this before.

Last night at Ross–
black dress–difficult to describe, but similar to the green one I bought a few
weeks back in that it fits perfectly. Chiffon, light ruffles, but not 'granny
like", sleeveless. cashier asked me where I found this and promptly went back
and picked up the last one on her break.
bronze silk dress with asian inspired print in blues, greens, etc. wide
straps, again, fits perfectly and flatters!
both were 6.99 with the bronze one having a reg price of 130 and the black one
a reg of 79.99.
red American Eagle round toed pumps with lacing on the tops and back
black Unlisted strappy pumps with a wider retro style heel (I quote DH "they
look like they're from the 40's")
pink snap side CC tee
"Lingerie" notecards
Lisa Zador "swinging 60's" notecards–
http://www.lisazador.com/illustration/index.html (many of the designs on the
cards are on this page)
numerous candles
and the coup de grace– Jeffrey Fulvimari Bobbypin desk set that includes
notebook, pencil box, desk organizer (I've put my makeup brushes in it
already), pencils and address book. Tres cute! And only 4.99
Very pleased with all this. I *heart* Ross.
And compliment of the day– Cashier above mentioning that I did not look like I
had had 3 kids, esp one 14 months ago. Made my DAY.

Throughout the past two weeks to treat myself after doing surprisingly well on
midterms and working hard at work:
– Express Studio chocolate brown silk–blend tank with bright orange trim and
camel tiny dots (I may do this for Thanksgiving with a chocolate brown
cardigan...)
– Chocolate brown and cream tweed low–rise "Editor" pants with a slight flare
at the bottom
– Black low–rise tailored "Editor" pants in luxury stretch with a pressed
crease down the front and slight flare at the hem
– GAP pinks & peaches wool–blend skirt that hits right above the knee with a
flutter hem, peachy pink thin velvet trim around the hem
– Mossimo lilac boucle cardigan with clear cubic zirconia buttons down the
front
– Old Navy shamrock green and cream herringbone clutch with a rosette pin
– Old Navy bright red tweed tank with flecks of mustard yellow & ruby thin
velveteen bow trim under the bust
– Old Navy pink wool knee–length coat with a plum–colored herringbone pattern
– The latest issue of Harper's Bazaar and plenty of mocha frappucinos from
Starbucks

Cell phone case from Coach, pink with embossed "C" and wrist strap or
hanging loop, depending on how it's used. Didn't really want the
embossed logo but I've been desperately trying to find a relatively hard
case so buttons wouldn't accidentally get pushed.
Suddenly, I remember why I like clamshell phones better! If I use the
key guard, I can never remember how to answer the damned thing because I
need to push different buttons from the ones I needed to hit on my
previous phones. Consequently, unless I have the key guard off (which is
only when it's sitting on my desk for a long period of time), I miss
just about every call because I can't disable the key guard in time!

Good thinking, thank you Annie Oakley. <g>

Actually yesterday, I bought a Relvon Colorstay Overtime Sheer lipcolor in Sheer
Rosette from the Revlon holiday display. I wore it today and was so impressed
that I went back and got another one in Sheer Mocha. I think I also need the
Champagne one (but the only one they had was opened) and maybe the
Plum–something too.
The Sheer Rosette really is sheer, and is almost exactly the color of my lips
(now that my lips *have* some color, thanks to City Lips). And I love the
sparkly topcoat. It gives a nice, sublty finished but not overdone lip. And the
formula of this stuff is way nicer than Outlast or Lipfinity, IME.

Yes, I went shopping today, on Black Friday. It wasn't too busy yet
downtown (a boutique shopping area) around 10:30, but it started up not too
much later. I bought a few gifts for others and splurged on myself too! I
finally got the dark wash True Religion "Joey" jeans (the cute ones with the
buttoned flap pockets on the back) that I have been wanting for the last few
months. Love them!!

I had Christmas season mall madness today.
For my 21–month–old niece, I stopped at the Children's Place:
White "fur" coat, on sale for $23.50
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/233619_l.jpg
White l/s top with flower applique and rhinestones, on sale for $12.50
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/233643_l.jpg
Glittery jeans with flower appliques to match above top, on sale for $16.50
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/238833_l.jpg
Next stop was Tiffany for my sister–in–law. She desperately wants this
ring, I don't know why. If I were asking for jewelry from Tiffany I'd
be asking for something much different, but whatever, she's the one that
has to wear it.
Silver T&Co logo 1837 ring, $125
http://www.tiffany.com/images/products/product_images/13644918_FL_LRG.jpg
Then I stopped at Sephora for Amor Amor perfume for my other
sister–in–law, which she requested. She also requested the lotion and
they had a gift set with the EDT and lotion for $52.50.
Then I stopped at Macy's, which is a bad idea because I was CHRISTMAS
shopping, not Melissa shopping, but I have to go to Wisconsin for
Christmas this year and I have no clothes appropriate for weather below
60 degrees. And so I bought:
INC black REALLY wide–waist trousers, $69
INC black cable–knit v–neck sweater, $59
INC black and white floral print mesh v–neck l/s top with ruching at the
bottom and rhinestones on the flowers (sounds tacky but it really is
cute), $59
INC white corduroy 1–button blazer, $99

A few items at the Victoria's Secret sale. They opened a new VS here in
town, it's smaller than the most of the other ones locally, but they managed
to still have some decent/cute undergarments. It surprised me that some
women marched straight up to the counter and had a cow that "You don't have
my size!!!!". Helllllllllo......Ladies......it's the VS store that is 33%
the size of the others and it's right after CHRISTMAS. What do you expect?
That just floored me that some young women can't put two and two together
that during a SALE a few days after XMAS at a *small* little store they
might possibly be *out* of a size or two. (Especially when there are
commercials on t.v. every three seconds for the darned sale...LOL.)
