Powder foundation

cherylf...@yahoo.com (Cheryl)
Anybody have any suggestions for a good powder foundation?

I've always wanted to find that holy grail powder foundation because it's so
easy to use and makes the prep time in the morning so much quicker.
Unfortunately, the formulation doesn't seem to agree with my skin. :(
With that said, out of the many I've tried, I've had the best results with
Armani, La Prairie, and Body & Soul. These do the best with coverage while
keeping oilies away (even though my skin tends to lean on the dry side,
powder foundations tend to get my t–zone greasy), and none of them give me
breakouts.
YMMV, but MAC's Studio Fix (which works for a lot of lucky people!) gets my
vote for worst powder foundation.

What's bad about it, in your opinion? I'm going to be going to the
Seattle area next week and was going to look for some of the cosmetics
that I read about here, and this was one I was going to try to see.
I'd like to hear why it didn't work for you.

I second the rec for Body & Soul, and add Lancome's Dual Finish
and Paula's Select Soft Pressed Powder. I would also rec
Anna Carrera's Pressed Minerals, but I think that line is out
of business. hth, kpr.

Several years ago I had very good luck with Versace's Extra Creamy foundation.
It's a misnomer, the foundation is a powder and I have no idea how they worked
'Creamy' in to the name. It was working well on my oily skin, but I developed
a few drier patches and headed off to a different foundation, MAC StudioTech.

My skin is well–behaved, and it takes a lot to irritate it. For some
reason, StudioFix broke me out (cystic zits, no less!) and additionally
clogged my pores and made my t–zone very oily. :(

Anyone, please, have a color rec for Body & Soul color for a Studiofix
N5? I am FFF, slightly yellow.... OoO Light Honey was the best match
(and powder foundation) I've had (discont'd). I see that Body & Soul
is $35 at Sephora online, and don't want to make a mistake. No
opportunity to see the line in person locally.
TIA!
