I decided to check out the Origins Cocoa Therapy line since I'm a
devoted CSP Amour de Cacao fan.
I purchased two items. First, the Cocoa Therapy body butter. I love
this. It's somewhat heavy but it'll be perfect for cooler weather on my
arms and legs, which get drier and itchier during the winter. The aroma
bears a striking resemblance to Fresh Orange Chocolate Shea Butter. The
Fresh product, however, is extremely oily (it's entirely shea butter,
aside from the fragrances added). Origins does also have a "Total Body
Treat" version of its Cocoa Therapy body butter that's just as heavy as
the Fresh product so I didn't want it (it's mostly cocoa butter rather
than shea butter, in case it matters to anyone).
Also purchased the Cocoa Therapy Instant Chocolate Fix. This is a
scented oil in the same fragrance but it comes in a small rollon
bottle, similar to rollon lip gloss packaging. I need to go find the
packaging to see if I can actually USE it as a lip gloss because it may
be more useful that way. It's not scented strongly enough to be used as
a fragrance.
Also stopped at BBW for the first time in a while, mostly to check out
the Tutti Whatsitsface line. I didn't like any of it but since I've
never liked any scents from BBW, I was neither surprised nor
disappointed. I did grab a Bendel Fig candle (I do like the Henri Bendel
stuff), Nicole by OPI nail polish in Enchantress (a very, very sheer,
very pale pink with an opalescent effect), Bio "Curl on Cue"
rejuvenating mist for my hair (this seems to be a really good product,
resmoothing and defining my curls in the late afternoon) and Botanical
Nutrients Olive Sandalwood Styling Pomade. Don't know how this will work
out yet.
