skirt length.....Help

myob...@webtv.net (Just Me)
Hi,
Been wondering if the long ankle skirts are still in fashion. I have a
few outfits with long skirts and feel kinda self conscience when I wear
them. Wore an ankle length straight jean skirt shopping the other
day. Not another soul in the mall was wearing a long skirt.
What do you think???

I think the fashion du jour is skirts that hit at the knee. With that
said, I think if you wore the straight skirt with a pair of really cool
boots it might work to update the look, since boots are so in right
now.
And it goes with out saying (I hope) that if long skirts flatter you,
wear them – because "flattering" NEVER goes out of style.

I bought a new one this week but definitely plan to wear knee high boots
with it.

Here in Southern California, I've been seeing a lot of ankle–length straight
skirts lately. Just bought one myself––it's a plaid wrap around, very comfy
and warm (the fabric is a wool blend). The one time I've worn it so far was
with boots.

That you should go to a different mall?
Seriously, though, while I've added a couple of knee–length skirts to
my wardrobe lately, I wear mostly mid–calf to ankle length skirt. Its
a more flattering length for me and, frankly, a lot more comfortable
to wear. Since I have no trouble finding skirts that length, I assume
they're not too *out* I also see quite a lot of that length on other
people.
If you do decide to shorten, limit it to a couple of inches above the
ankle. I think you'd probably destroy the line of the skirt by going
any shorter.
