suggestions for Cleopatra makeup?

drew13...@aol.com
I'm going to be attending a Halloween party this weekend, going as
Cleopatra. One of the local theatres has costume rentals, so I was
able to rent a very authentic looking (though very body
conscious––meaning tight!) dress and some accessories including a
great neckpiece. I had to buy a black wig and a gold headpiece and
some flashy gold jewelry. But of course, the best part of the outfit
is the makeup, and I'm not really sure what do do with that. I was
thinking dramatic black brows, liquid black eyeliner extended beyond
the corners of my eyes, bronzed skin. Any suggestions? I looked
online to see if there were any sites that could give me a nice closup
of a "Cleopatra face" but all I got were costume sites and mostly the
ones that sell the cheap, "sexy Cleopatra" ones at that!

Study photos of female sarcophaguses (sp?) for eyeliner shape. LOTS OF
BRONZER. WHat about that knock–out babe in "The Mummy"?

You could look for pictures of Elizabeth Taylor as
Cleopatra, that was a classic version of the look, and
liveable with.

To get that blue, Jane has an eyeshadow Linking Duo called Naughty and Nice.
Nice is peach and Naughty is a glittery dark blue. When I wear the 2 (peach
on the lid, blue as liner) I call it my Cleopatra look.

I liked Vivien Leigh as Cleopatra better than Elizabeth Taylor.

BTD: Consider Manic Panic Voodoo Blue and also their white base
Check out Tish's eyes
http://www.manicpanic.com/
Here's the stuff
http://www.manicpanic.com/shadows.html
http://www.manicpanic.com/gothwhite.html
This is what I'd do
Use the Goth White for the entire top part of each eye socket up to the brow
I'd go with even thin brows. Claudette Cobert also played Cleopatra:

http://www.cineseoul.com/new/image/Lp1934_3.jpg
but Liz is beautiful:
http://makeashorterlink.com/?X24E252A9
http://orbita.starmedia.com/~ramses_egito/cleo2.jpg
I'd do the Blue over the lids and lighter over the bone to blend in with the
cat's eyes
Find some gold glitter to highlight the cats eyes
I use Manic Panic stuff and don;t know about the following but if you use it
and it's good let me know
http://www.graftobian.com/$spindb.query.listcat2.grcatview.26.13..Face~20Painting~20Glitter
{BTW – my favorite player in the Liz Taylor version was "Fox")
I'd probably try to find aqua instead of blue for me because I have Green
eyes
I'd also go with lavender for highlights
here's the search results

Oh yeah
Let's not forget Theda Bara:o

That was fun:)
