Sun. Shopping at SCP

Hi!
Fashiondish happened to call at a very apropos moment (just wrapped up an
article) and asked if I would like to accompany her to South Coast Plaza.
I jumped at the chance to use this 20 rewards check that had an expiration
date of next Sat and also exchange a couple of wrong purchases at Sephora.
We hit the road about 2:30 and got there about 3 and went in to Brooks
Brothers to pick up a skirt she bought.
Then we headed into Zara. Not impressed. nothing jumped out at me and said
BUY ME and the line was long for the register and the clothing was a mess
(someone's buying!)
Sephora was next on the list and I scooped up some Benefit Eyecon as well as
a Longo mascara in a copper rose color plus a delux cream powder shadow in
rosy pink plus a cute pink decorated case (empty) for the kid for Xmas.
hiding that one's going to be interesting! Wrapping it will be harder.. It's
28 and has a great graphic!
FD got a cool lipstick and some Fresh stuff.
We then hit Coach and found great bags and then moved over to Nordies where
I walked through the handbag section dying to find the right color, right
size, right leather texture. alas... to no avail. The Marc Jacobs SA tried
to entice me with a 20% off all bags (that weekend only) but at $800 for the
one I wanted, I wasn't going there. She said it was about the same price as
Coach and I nicely told her that Coach was half the price ..
We covered all the handbags including some LAMB bags from the sak that were
50% off
Upstairs we went and I tried on a great red top but wasn't thrilled at how
flat it made me look (shirred front in lipstick red)
went scoping out some great diesel cashmere (tatoo styling) and then found a
faux wrap cashmere in a range of colors and decided on powder blue. my end
price with the 20 dollars off was about 83 with tax! pretty good deal! we
headed upstairs for a walk through jeans territory and intimate apparel
We walked back through the mall, stopped to get a choc. covered graham
cracker at some store (it was dark chocolate too!) and then headed back with
lots of bags to the car.
it was a fun excursion.. a preface to LAFW coming up

I found some stuff for the kid including lavendar tall emu boots
aubergine velour warmup suit
2 black drop waist, pleated skirts
some glitter flats with roses (old navy)
some tops and a belt and a handbag I think.
I have loads of clothing for her coming in.... plus some stuff from
Nordstrom online.
so hopefully I won't have to worry about her too much!

I feel the same way about holiday shopping this year. I'll be in Los
Angeles the first weekend in November and will catch the local Macy's
benefit shopping day this week but otherwise it will be internet
shopping for me too. I'm also off to a good start.
