E/S holders that fit MAC products?

"ok2bwild" <inva...@invalid.invalid>
Does anyone know of an e/s holder(pallette) that will hold MAC e/s? I am
starting to amass quite a few of them and would like to put them in a case
so I can see all the colors in front of me.

I can't read all the posts here and saw your other post about another
discussion, however... I have about 20 MAC eyeshadows and if you find a
solution to this problem, I'd like to hear of it. I love the little cases, but
the clear plastic can pop in and I'm getting e/s dust everywhere. Have had
this problem for years and just stored them in Ziplock snack size when
traveling.

I buy the MAC shadows w/o the plastic containers, and store them in MAC
palettes. Apparently, if you are willing to sacrifice your plastic
pots, you can use the MAC palette holder thingies for regular potted MAC
e/s. First you have to depot them. I haven't tried this, not being one
to play with candles and sharp implements, but it sounds reasonable. See
http://specktra.net/depotting.php (standard caveat – I don't know that
site; it just came up in a Google search on "mac depotting"). I'm going
to try this one day, though, since I have about 6–8 e/s's in the plastic
pots that I bought before I discovered the magnetic palettes. It sure
seems like it would be much simpler if MAC made the shadows so they'd
fit in either the pots or the palettes without having to mangle them.
