Olay Moisturinse Review

"Jamie" <zuschlag–sequ...@tds.net>
I purchased this last weekend and have tried it twice since. The bottom
line is that if you like mineral oil based skin moisturizers, you'll
probably like this. I've decided that I love it for the ease of
application; you just slather a little on in the shower quickly rubbing it
over any body parts you choose, then step under the water and rinse. The
bottle recommends that you pat dry and I think that's key. The first time I
tried it, I did pat dry and felt like I had left too much on my skin. I'm
weird about mineral oil based moisturizers (like this and Johnson's
Softlotion 24 Hour Moisture), worrying about residue coming off on my
chenille/velvety sofa when I curl up!
Anyway, I don't remember it lasting for a lo–o–o–ng time the first time that
I used it, and this, the second time that I rubbed dry, I'm looking at my
legs now 4 hours later, and there's not much left on. I can still feel a
light sheen but nothing cloying.
For me, I don't know if this is a must have product that I will purchase
again. The Moisturinse definitely has a smell. If smells bother you, this
isn't for you. I like the ease of application and the fact that it doesn't
look like it clogs my leg pores after shaving because you rinse it off. But
it was between $3–5 for a bottle (I can't remember exactly and am too
relaxed at this point to run downstairs to the garage to dig out the
receipt) and I think cheaper lotions do the same job. This is a novel idea
only for application. I'm also thinking that I could get rid of a couple
other mineral oil based lotions (like the aforementioned Johnson's that just
went on too heavy and stayed that way) by using them in the shower, rinsing
after application and patting dry.
Oh, and I wanted to mention that a little goes a pretty good way.
Still....I don't think I have to have it.
