L'Oreal Microdermabrasion –– Anyone Having Problems?

mom_2_...@hotmail.com (Barbara)
I have a terrible, itchy rash on the sides of my face(not the t–zone
or apples of my cheeks). The only *new* product I've used of late is
the L'Oreal Microdermabrasion stuff. It could be a coincidence, it
could be something else that I haven't used for a while, or it could
be the L'Oreal. Just wondering if anyone has had a reaction.
I just put some generic Benadryl anti–itch stuff on the rash, which is
making it bearable, but it looks awful. :–<

Honestly I've only used it once, and I was scared of making my face red, so
I didn't even do it for very long – definitely not the 1–2 minutes the
directions said. I really didn't notice any difference. My regular face
wash (Ideal Balance Foaming Gel Cleanser) is L'Oreal too though.
I have one "real life" friend who also has tried it, she hasn't had a bad
reaction.

I tried it yesterday. Did it for just over 1 minute, and haven't had any
reaction. Rinsed for 5 minutes with cool water (yes, I am a little
paranoid), then slathered on a generous amount of moisturizer. It could
be a reaction to something else you're using that the L'Oreal doesn't
mix well with. HTH

Used it again tonight. Really can't say I see anything amazing. The
moisturizer is good, I would buy it separately.

Maybe you are having an allergic reaction and/or maybe you are not rinsing
well enough? In my case, I know I have to pay special attention to rinsing
the edges of my face –– around the jawline up to my ears, otherwise I leave
cleanser residue around there. Another idea is just try stopping use of the
product and see if the problem goes away. I'm sure you already thought of
that though ;)
