I caved....for BE try–me kit

gwehr...@bellsouth.net (val189)
Broke my hiatus and fell for the QVC Bare Escentuals try me kit – 4
pieces for $22.71. Item A53093. Wide range of shades available.
Should be great for travel (smaller sizes)and gifts. The brush alone
could be worth the price.
I can see all those never used cream fndtns making the trip from my
undervanity graveyard to Goodwill, if this turns out to be my HG kit.

Val,
This price sounds wonderful for the try–me kit. I bought one from Sephora
about 4 months ago and paid $40 for it. It included the BE foundation of
my choice, Mineral Veil, a sort of face bronzer/colorer, the brush (flat,
not kabuki) and an application video. I felt like I got my money's worth
and when it arrived, the powders were in pretty large containers (I thought
they would be much smaller). So it was even better. Do you know how large
the containers of foundation are that you got in yours? Just interested for
comparison.
BTW, I enjoyed the BE but since I've recently started using the Maybelline
DMM, I like it better. I have normal skin and feel that the BE makes me
look a little dry although it was a fine trade–off for awhile to save the
time in application. And as winter approaches here in the south (not yet,
83 today), the air will be more dry and moreso not optimal for my skin.
More info than you needed to know. I did like the BE and hope it works for
you. I feel this kit is a good way to try it out.

It has not yet arrived, but the qvc.com site will divulge quantities.
I was about to spring for the Iredale, but this price was just too tempting.

Try putting scotch tape over the holes, I do that for general use and it
helps quite a bit.

MMV. When I was using it, I didn't have much trouble with it as long as one
remembers to shake it down before using. That said, there's now a great
travel compact made specifically for the BE foundations and Mineral Veil. I
have one and really like it.

It arrived – the brush is quite decent and there is enough "Warmth"
for the rest of my days.
I am especially happy with the shade 2.3. I like it better than the
JI "Silk" or "Bisque."
