Sexy New Scent

"I!" <i...@sympatico.ca>
Hi All
I'm looking for your advice on a sexy new scent to try. I want one that
stops most men in their tracks (ha!). But I don't have a great sense of
smell and am always frustrated when trying perfumes in the dept. store.
Thanks for your advice!

My boyfriend loves how Benefit's Maybe Baby and Ralph Lauren's Blue
smells on me, definitely stops him in his tracks :)

I've always enjoyed fragrances that fall into the categories of Oriental or
Woody Oriental, with the difference being that the Oriental is more traditional
Musk–type fragrances and Woody Oriental being more like a spicy, patchouli–type
of scent. There is a Floral Oriental, too, that has scents with undertones of
Jasmine, among others, that really have an enticing quality.
All three of the categories are known as sensual fragrances and some perfumes
in these categories are:
"Trouble" by Boucheron
"Bijan" by Bijan
"Prada" by Prada (new)
"Rive Gauche" by Yves St. Laurent
"KL" by Karl Lagerfeld
"Addict" by Christian Dior
"Le Baiser du Dragon" by Cartier
I have all of these (I have a problem with perfume, I know) and my favorite is
"KL." Out of all those I've listed it is probably the most affordable and you
could find it in discount perfumeries like Perfumania.com.
Another favorite, but one that is difficult to find, is "Lou Lou" by Cacharel.
Any of these will send your guy reeling. Cross my heart.

The one fragrance I wear that men consistently seem to adore is Magot by Etro.

I had a sample of RL Blue and my boyfriend loved it as well. It has
gardenia in it...
I also love Gucci the pink bottle.

I just bought RL Blue for myself to wear during the day because it's
such a nice, clean scent but it seems men also like it so there's
another vote for that.
I've been wearing Liz Claiborne Spark for almost a year and
consistently get comments about what a nice feminine scent it is.
Finally, Escada Magnetism seems to be a favorite in the fragrance
department –– I love it myself and have heard from the fragrance
ladies that men really like it.

I bought this fragrance about six months ago and at first sniff I wasn't sure
about it. I was able to layer it (kinda) because it came with a small tube of
lotion and it stuck with me pretty well over the course of the day and I got
passed the very, very sweet smell at first spray, and enjoyed it a lot more as
the day went by.
This is almost as sweet as Dior's Hypnotic Poison and similar in scent, I
think. I hate, hate, hate the bottle, however. It is constantly tipping over.
Pretty color, though.
