Healing popped zit?

"Suhweet" &l...@home.com>
There was a zit that I had to pop and now it's taking forever to heal. The
skin gets dry and flakes off and the process restarts itself. I've tried
neosporin, but can anyone recommend a cream (or supplement) to help with
this? (PS– I already take 2g b5 a day).

Have you tried tea tree oil? (You can get it at a health foods store.)

When you say that "the process restarts itself", what do you mean? Is it
a new zit in the same place?

No, not a new zit. Just that the dry skin flakes off, regrows as dry, then
flakes off again, etc.

Try putting a blob of Neutrogena Acne Mask on the zit overnight. I've found
this to work extremely well. Active ingredient: 5% benzoyl peroxide.
HTH.

I 3rd the TTO. Or exfoliate the area really well. Dry flaky patches are usually
areas that have a build up
of dead skin cells, which can lead to clogged pores.
Exfoliate!

I find a lot of times, for a patch of persistent flaky dry skin, putting a tiny
amount of Aquaphor will take care of it. You don't have to keep reapplying it,
maybe only one or two applications, but it always does the trick. HTH!

I've had a lot of success with the teeniest amount of Neosporing CREAM
(not ointment) on a Q–tip applied accurately to the spot.
