Cool looking shoes that you can also walk a long time in?

tmeme...@aol.comtrain (TMEMEDIA)
I'm looking for this season's fall walking shoes for myself. Any suggestions
for slips ons or mules that aren't COMPLETELY flat, that are VERY comfortable
to walk long distances in, and that are cool looking at the same time. I'm off
to New Orleans with my hubby for our anniversary in a few weeks and we always
walk our butts off there –– and I usually get blisters. This time I'm
determined to be comfortable AND stylish.
Thanks for any help out there!
Teresa
PS: I have comfy cool looking boots, but I've found that boots are much too
hot for daytime New Orleans in November.

It's hard to find slip–on or slip–into shoes that meet all your criteria,
but I think I have some Stegmann and Doc Martens clogs that fit the bill.
Also Simple clogs. Still I would call any of them "walking" shoes; they
*are* the type I wear when I fly so I can slip them on and off for searches,
etc. I have these in black and also in tan suede and they are very comfy
(and pretty cute, imho):

Do wear comfy, cushy socks with whatever shoes you get. "My" socks are
these:

(note that the crew length are thicker and cushier than the 1/4 tops)

May I suggest you consider some type of a lace up shoe instead of a
slip–on, pleeeeeease??? A lace up shoe gives your foot *much* more
support than a slip–on and your feet and legs will thank for choosing
this style. You'll be happier at the end of the day with lace ups and
by all means, DO wear socks!

Clark's Hall is really comfortable and has the new rounded toe without
the killer heel. Its fabulous.

I like Dansko clogs. They apparently have a collection now with a
slightly higher heel. Hmmmm.....

I've tried the Danskos in "Anja" and they felt great. They didn't have
the color I wanted so they're being ordered for me. The Ballerina ones
are kind of cute but I haven't seen them in person.
Also, the OP may want to check DSW for Aerosoles. I haven't gone
anywhere near Aerosoles in a while but noted that there's a line that's
not as orthopedic looking as most Aerosoles looked to me in the past. I
bought a pair of somewhat pointy toed black mules in a very soft leather
that have ~2.5–3" heels and they're far more comfortable than they look.
