lining the inner lid

Qintes <rn...@yahoo.com>
I tried this for the first time today and I'm suprised that I really
like the look. I was always afraid to do it since hearing so many
"women–have–gotten–eye–infections–and–gone–blind" stories in nursing
school. But I do have a question...how do I get it off at night?

I use a Q–tip with make–up remover on it. I prefer the Almay pads but I
keep a bottle of liquid remover too (Rimmel) for things like this.

May I ask what type of liner you used that stays on so well? Thanks.

You don't get the remover in your eye? Ow ow ow ow. Do you line your
inner lid regularly?

Since today is the first time I tried it I don't actually know if it'll
still be there tonight. It's Prestige waterproof though and that's
supposed to have pretty good staying power.

I must have tough inner eyelids – lol – doesn't sting. Maybe it's gentle
remover?
I've been doing it lately (with white eyeliner to look more awake) and it
doesn't bother me to remove it that way.
I also use a Q–tip to remove it from my lower lashes.

Thanks. Good luck with its wear and removal!

Hi Sue! Update...the liner didn't last all day. It's already faded.
I'm going to try to apply it a little heavier tomorrow. Some time in
the next couple weeks I'm going to get to a MAC counter and buy a couple
power point liners. I hear those are the ultimate in staying power. I
bought some black liner today up at Rite Aid too so I'm going goth
tomorrow!
You know what else I've been wanting....since I'm getting all fancy with
eye makeup now...have you seen that new Heavy Metal Glitter eye liner at
Sephora? I'm ordering that in the green. I think that is so cool looking!

What brand of liner do you use since I'm nosey? :)

I wanna know how you do it so that it doesn't make your eyes look smaller.
The times I tried it I must have done it wrong.

Wet N Wild is the white liner.
The other liners I use are Clinique Quickliners for Eyes, Almay Bright Eyes
Duo Liners, Rimmel Exaggerate (a big fat pencil), Avon Glimmersticks. I
think that's all.

As far as I know this technique is used to make your eyes stand out.
I think it works better on people who have bigger eyes, as this
technique does make your eyes look smaller IMO.
If you use a blue color pencil the white of your eyes will look
whiter/brighter.
If you use a black pencil the result is more dramatic and used mainly
for evening wear. When I had my makeup done recently at Mac the MA
used this technique at the very end (after he had already applied, the
eye–shadow, mascara, and upper lid liner)at it made quite a bit of a
difference.
The look is high–maintenance though. You'll need to reapply
frequently and clean your eyes of any residue––the darker the color of
the eyeliner you use, the more alert you'll need to be to this. All
in all I think it's worth it though it's a pain in the you know what
to constantly "keep an eye on it."

Also, if you wear contacts, it can get really messy.
