A Question for AF Mommies.

Hi guys!
Next week I'm moving to Ohio for three months. In order not to carry
with too many things, I plan to carry travel size toiletries for the
whole family, and when there, buy everything needed. The thing is
that I'm not familiar with babycare brands, and don't know what to buy
for my son. Currently, he is using the Mustela range, but I do not
know if these products are widely available in the USA (where we are
going to live there's a Wal–mart and a CVS store). What brands do you
recommend to buy?
TIA for any input.

Mustela is available, but usually only in specialty shops. I've found it at
Sephora and Nordstrom as well as at baby specialty shops (like Babies R Us).
You could always order from the web and have the items waiting for you when
you arrive.
As for drugstore brands, I've been pretty happy with the Gerber line of
shampoos, etc. Not as nice as Mustela, but gentle to the skin (my son, now
2, was very allergic to Johnson & Johnson, probably the most frequently used
line of products here). I use the lavender–scented soap myself because it
smells so nice. They have Gerber at our local CVS. I don't shop at Walmart
much, but I imagine it's available there too.
HTH and good luck with your move!

Thanks for all the suggestions posted and e–mailed to me. You're
always a great source of (excellent) information.
I'm really looking forward this trip and the shopping!

I've seen Mustela in Bath & Body Works stores (in California and North
Carolina). Where I live I would not call it common at all. I've used
Johnson & Johnson and Baby Magic products on my children (you could find
these at Walmart or CVS), as well as Burt's Bees Baby Bee line (online or a
book store called Books a Million).
Hi
Finally I'm in Ohio, and this is what I have bought for my son. I
purchased the Baby Magic Gentle Baby Bath, and as for the baby lotion,
when we arrived at our apartment, our friends had prepared for us a
welcome kit, and among the many goodies there were, there was a bottle
of Burt's Bees Baby lotion....
