i treated myself to an expensive pair of red sandals. to be blunt, when i
walk, the shoes make farting noises. (honest, it's not me!) these shoes are
for bare feet. anyone had this experience? any suggestions other than
returning them? tia

Haha, I don't know. Maybe put some powder on your feet. That might help.

I've never had this happen with Mephistos, but have had it happen with Arche
shoes. Air seems to be sucked in to the space between the insole and the
bottom of the shoe when the foot is lifted, then pressed out when the foot is
put back on the ground and pressure put on the shoe. I haven't bought a pair
of Arches since that pair. I would return the shoes.

ditto!
It sounds like they weren't fitted properly
