Tinted moisturizer without SPF?

egs...@aol.com (EGSeah)
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a tinted moisturizer without any sunblock
or SPF in it...I've found that most makeup and moisturizer with sun
protection tends to break me out. I'd prefer to apply sun protection
separately.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

of sunscreen in them.

I just found this YSL moisturizer online and it looks promising as it
doesn't mention SPF and I like the fact that it has "matte" in the
name. However, I haven't been able to find an ingredient list.

I'll have to check this out in person.

If you're looking for a tinted moisturizer, why don't you simply add a drop
of foundation or liquid concealer to your favorite moisturizer? You can
adjust the colour and moisture as needed. Just pour the moisturizer in the
palm of your hand, add the colour and mix before applying. I expect you can
whip up a batch if you have the proper container.

I had actually considered this, but then I realized it would actually
require buying liquid foundation, which I would only use a little of
and let the rest sit in a cupboard. I don't use liquid normally so it
would be a waste...I've been using only compact foundations for the
last 10 years or so and I figure if I'm going to buy something new
anyway, I might as well buy the product all put together for me. :)
It's just more convenient. DIY and "from scratch" projects are fun,
but sometimes you just don't have time. Thanks for the suggestion
though!

Stellaglo, I picked up the YSL tinted moisturizer yesterday! So far
it's been pretty good. No sunscreen, and a nice texture. I wouldn't
call it totally matte, but it does make my skin look nice and even and
soft. It's sheer but does provide enough coverage/evening. I can get
away with this and a little powder on the T–zone. Package says it's
good for normal to combination skin. Supposed to have anti–free
radical properties, etc. from sunflower extracts and oil absorbing
from bamboo ingredient.
Note: It does have fragrance in it and titanium dioxide which I know
some people are sensitive to (not I fortunately).
Ingredients as written on the packaging: Aqua (Water), Polymethyl
Methacrylate, Titanium Dioxide, Phenyl Trimethicone, C12–15 Alkyl
Benzoate, Dimethicone Copolyl, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Cetyl
Alcohol, Palmitic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Bambusa Arundicea Stem
Extract, Butylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyhenol, Helianthus
Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Parfum
(Fragrance), Tocopherol, Methylparaben, Fructose, Glucose, Trisodium
EDTA, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber Fruit)
Extract, Propylparaen, Alanine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Urea, Aspartic
Acid, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Lysine
Hope that helps...let us know how the Kiss My Face stuff is! :)

Dr. Hauschka makes such a product, and it doesn't even contain
preservatives. Its called "toned day cream." Gina.

Aha! And here I was assuming you were like me, with 3 or 4 rarely–used
liquid foundations and concealers on your makeup table. :)

I've been doing it this way because I can't apply foundation properly
(regardless of formula) and my sunscreens give my skin a noticeable whitish
cast. And I don't go out without my sunscreen.
