Aspirin Mask, Tend Skin Alternatives?

*Please* spare me the wrist–pain of long, arduous googling... Can
someone post the latest and greatest aspirin mask recipe (I'm putting a
care package together for my baby girl who's now at college!)? And, can
the aspirin mask be used like Tend Skin? Or, does anyone have a recipe
for Tend Skin? Or, does anyone have a recommnedation for another OTC
anti–shaving–bumps product? TIA!
–sk (astounded by how quiet her apartment is now –– might have to buy a
rap album to compensate...)

From google:
18 aspirin dissolved in 5.5 oz. of 70% alcohol
8 aspirin dissolved in 2.5 oz. witch hazel
Mix these two solutions together and you have a pretty good substitiute
or
aspirin
Clean & Clear, 10–0–6, Neutrogena (or the like) astringent containing Sodium
PCA
or another humectant and salicylic acid
or
After shaving, dissolve 3–5 aspirin (the main ingredient in TEND SKIN) in
1/2 cup of warm water. Spray solution on shaved area.
or
BC Powder (or other relatively pure aspirin powder)
Rubbing Alcohol
Astringent with Salicylic Acid and Witch Hazel (I used Neutrogena with 2%
salicylic acid)
2/3 rubbing alcohol to 1/3 astringent. Add several BC powders mini packets
(the
single serving size). Shake in a bottle. I highly recommend you ***not***
place this mix in a spray bottle as the contents are very irritating to
inhale.

the usual aspirin mask (as conceived by me and o3) is 4–6 aspirins plus
a few drops of hot water. allow to dissolve, then either mix with a
little peel–off mask or some aloe gel or nothing at all and apply to
face (adding mask or gel will reduce the sneeze inducing potential). let
sit for a few minutes and rinse. it will work against shaving bumps, but
must be rinsed off, where Tend Skin can be left on.
to make fake Tend Skin, I usually dissolve 10 or so aspirins in about 2
ounces of hot water, then add 2–3 ounces of an alcohol based astringent
(I like Sea Breeze for this –– it cuts down on the vinegar–y scent of
aspirin). alcohol based astringent is important here –– it releases the
salicylic acid better, and that's important in a dilute solution like
this one. combine the above mixture thoroughly, then pour through a
coffee filter to remove the large grains and decant into a bottle and
use just like Tend Skin.
