Calling all Lipstick Lovers!! Lip Rec for Dark haired Bride?

"J DiMarco" <jdimarcos...@eznet.net>
Hi fellow af'er's...I am in need of a favor if anyone has a suggestion, I'd
appreciate it.
My friend who is the exact opposite in coloring of myself is getting married
9/13 and asking ME for a lipstick recommendation. Her everyday favorite is a
deep brown, think Stila Andie which I bought for her, but she doesn't want
to wear a brown for her wedding day. She's wearing a pearl beaded(studded??)
halter topped dress, open back Her ceremony is going to be held outdoors in
the afternoon, if that makes any difference.
Her eyes and hair are dark brown. I tested my MAC studio tech on her skin
and NW20 is perfect match for her coloring (she doesn't wear foundation!!!).
The blush she intends on wearing is rather dark, Lancome Rose Terre or Terra
(I think it's discontinued) Bush Subtil, it's deep rose/plum/brown...but she
puts it on with a light hand. She doesn't want to wear red, but I think a
berry would be okay.
As far as what's available in the area to try...all the regular department
store brands, EL, EA, Clarins, Clinique, Px, Lancome, no MAC. A local Salon,
Scott Miller, is now carrying Nars, Stila, and Bobbie Brown. She'd like me
to take her on an excursion, but that could take forever!! I'd like to
narrow it down before we go.
Again, any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Jackie in Rochester, NY

I would check out BobbiBrown to see what she has to offer. Ruby Stain is
beautiful, but might be too bright. She has great lipsticks...

If your friend doesn't want her wedding photos to look dated years from
now, I suggest leaning toward the naturalistic rather than the overly
dramatic or trendy for her makeup.
FWIW I used to wear Mac "N2" under the company's old color scheme.
