I have to make a great impression on my ex–husband and ex–friends – fast,
effective, totally devastating, so they get green with envy (or what) –
that's Russia, after all. Money are not an issue in reasonable limits.
What
should be my priority? (I can just one point of this list).
1. New LV bag
2. Diamond studs (half carat each)
3. Glowing healthy skin + new great haircut
4. Killing clothes, maybe Dolce?
5. Something else – what?
Thanks soooo much for help.

Number 3. You look good, you feel good, you be good :)

I'd vote for great hair, great makeup, a new outfit (not necessarily expensive)
and a beautiful shoe/handbag combo that screams "I have good taste and I have
confidence"
of course, all of us in here would love to tell you what to buy, lol.
Skip the expensive stuff and smile, smile, smile.

The problem is that I left my husband and all friends and left to Canada. My
stupid childlish demon wants to show them that it was for good (and it was
really!). I cannot show them my new car or condo, right? At work and
generally at life I stick to very casual style. Now I understand that to
look successful in Russia (and elsewhere) I need to invest in some status
details. So what can it be??? I finally made a trip to Holt's and got a
lotion of Creme De La Mer. That does help!

Hi,
I know what you mean. But tell us more about your friends and
ex–husband. Are you sure they'll know the real LV from a fake one?
Same with diamond studs... I guess my answer here is you have to look
very confident and happy, and dress comfortably and I'd say
conservatively. Bring them all nice gifts. Be nice to them. That
will impress them more than any diamonds. And a nice haircut and shoes
do help.
Good luck!

Seriously? Ring a Rent–a–Gent agency and hire a young nubile lad say an
obvious 10 years younger then you look and hang him off your arm for the
duration of the visit.
They won't notice the bag or the earrings. :)

Imho? A great big sincere smile, with head held high, shoulders back, full
of confidence and poise, without a nose–in–the–air–superior attitude.
Then, of course, whatever on your list helps you achieve the above.
For me, it would be clothing that fits and flatters without looking like I'm
trying too hard.
Killer haircut would be iffy because sometimes it takes me awhile to feel
confident with a new look, or the stylist doesn't give me exactly what I
want. But, that's me.
Good luck and hth

Get your hair done that day, either blown out or put up if it's hot, I
always get my hair done when I want it to look nice and stay put all
evening. Maybe even get a makeover if you have the time.
Where are you going, it it dressey or casual?
