Don't forget, Georgians! The dates are July 31 – August 3, 2003.
Oh yes! Have you seen the limits on these anywhere? I think we're going to
take advantage and get Joey his computer and replace Joe's laptop (you know,
the one that was stolen?) for starters and then the requisite clothing.
Thanks for the reminder!

From http://atlanta.about.com/cs/shopping/a/salestaxfree.htm:
This time around, a consumer can purchase personal computer supplies
tax free, without the previous computer purchase requirement.

Computer supplies basically include everything that is not for
recreational use. So video game systems and any related gaming
software will be taxed at full price. Also not exempt are cell phones
and digital cameras. PDA's will be sales tax free.
The changes in the rules for clothing purchases are that sporting
clothing and shoes will be included on the exempt list, and that any
items that exceed $100 will be taxed at full price. No limit will be
placed on how many clothing items a consumer can purchase during the
sales tax free holiday. Clothing accessories will still be taxed.
School supplies are sales tax exempt up to $20 per item. This includes
books that are on school district approved reading lists. Again, there
are no limits on the number of school supply purchases.
