. . . is that you find something you like, a tee shirt, say, or
in my case linen capris (which were a fairly good little knockoff
of the EF ones and very very cheap) and then you go back
2 weeks later AND
nada.
Don't have them anymore. Not anywhere.
I've never seen a store turn over inventory more quickly than
Old Navy.
I guess the secret is if you like something buy multiples.
AJ
Where do Old Navy clothes go though?
Audrey
To their website, I think. Sometimes if I don't buy enough of
something
when I'm shopping in the store, I can find it on clearance on their
website
a few weeks later.
Thanks, Eric. Then perhaps AJ should check the website since she
already
knows the size and style
she likes.

For those in SF, the basement of their flagship store on Market St
would be a good place to check. I don't think their outlet stores are
much help unless you want to wait a whole year for an item.

AFAICT there are only a few "staples" that they carry, but even those aren't
permanent. Yes, they turn their inventory so fast. (I wonder who is the
fastest in that category.) I completely missed out on the capri yoga pants
(wah wah) because I didn't go for them when I saw them. I went back and
grabbed a pair of reg length "just in case" they stop making them soon.
Luckily I've been able to buy their thin cotton knit lounge pants for over a
year because I loooove them. Must get a third.
I occasionally hit the Market St basement but unfortunately even that is an
unreliable source except for right after huge markdowns and even then they
don't always have the stuff I've seen at other ON markdown sections. In
addition to checking the website, calling around to stores might be a good
idea.
Noticed recently that ON is carring a maternity line. I haven't checked it
out but it seems like an excellent idea for them if they do it right!
