For Chantecaille users: what is the difference in the
Real Skin Foundation in the compact and the Compact

that kind of skin? thxia, kayper
hi, kayper. real skin is a gel–based foundation. it's a very difficult
texture to describe because it isn't a cream exactly nor a liquid. it's
just a pigmented sheer gel, similar to hair gel only slightly powdery.
the compact powder foundation is just a standrad powder foundation. it's
not standard actually because it's one of the few on the market that's
deeply pigmented and not at all chalky.
the real skin is very sheer. it's not ideal if you need to cover
anything and only need to add a little color to your face. the powder
foundation is best for oily skin but you could breakout from it since
some people have. although i've heard few stories of people breaking
out. did that help answer your questions? :)

sorry to follow up to my own post.
what i mean is, it's kind of slick like hair gel, but it isn't as thick.
it's much thinner. it's a solid gel. i hope that makes sense.
Yeah, kind of like Longo's Water Canvas, similar
gel–compact–type–dealie. I have the compact (powder) one and love it.
I've tried Real Skin, but whenever I wind up at the Chantecaille
counter, I always seem to have a full Water Canvas in my stash so I've
never had the Real Skin follow me home although it is nice and I'm
sure someday I'll cave and buy it. I do LOVE the compact powder
foundation – I used it up and have replaced it once, and would replace
again.
