After spending some time with Fashiondish this week, (Friday I went to a
fitness convention, came home scooped up FD and the kid and went for
coffee!)
we decided some shopping therapy was in order! Loehmans was calling our
names!
So we went today..... for just about an hour . We scoured the place
Found really cute Coach bags for 120 these are larger bags that I know I
have seen for 400!
She went in looking for one thing, I went in for another.... and I was
supposed to bring the kid too but she decided not to come. So much for
capris, tops, hoodies and bathing suits for her! ( 8P so there!)
I got there first and found a cute crinkle s/s collared button front shirt
in burgundy (on clearance no less. ) 19.99 . Looked really cute on me and it
was worth it for the basic cut of the thing... It's not like WOW what a deal
but it works for other clothes coordination
Found several pieces of donna rae and some other anne klein that were much
like some theory pants I just bought just in different colors.... but they
didn't have any jackets or pants. AK had jackets but no pants. The Donna Rae
had just pants, no jackets. oh well. so much for that.
Another pair of pants called my name that were in clearance too... but when
I tried them on they were fitting really snugly. I could wear them but I
couldn't eat or drink. (skip that noise)
Scored a cool pair of black leather imported mules..... they look really
different. The heels are doable and the original price was 135. the
clearance price was 51.99
Close enough in a fit so that when I walk in them I have room for my toes
when they slide forward into the toe of the shoe since they are sort of
pointy. Would look great with some jeans I just bought (Old Navy from
earlier this week. A low rise, stretch denim in 4 in short and regular. The
reg length will work beautifully with these shoes! These denims fit so great
around my waist as to not be believed!)
So the shoes were a definite yes!
Then I found THEORY there. omg I was so pleased. No jackets but a great pair
of taupe pants that have a touch of stretch to them. Theory runs a full size
small and these were a 6 and they fit beautifully. I was totally thrilled.
Even not on clearance, they were a steal at 60 bucks!
I tried another top from the Theory collection,: silk taupe/cream print
tunic with a slash neck but the slash was down to there and I am not JLO to
work with a sheer top and doublestick tape!
So skipped that and also the Theory shirt dress in khaki that was so cute in
a 4 and fit everyplace but my bust.... It even made me look busty!
oh well
wound up with a pair of dr. scholl lookalike sandals with rhinestone buckles
for the kid. at 27 from 65, it wasn't a great deal BUT when clearance
marked, it was another 40% off..... making them around 15. Now that works!
And so all the other purchases
the burgundy top was 11, ( originally marked 80)
the pants were still 60 ( originally about 150)
and the shoes were 30ish ( originally 135)
kids sandals (originally 65 )
I spent 130 dollars and got 500 dollars worth of stuff. Almost enough to buy
that Coach handbag in red.. but I didn't *love * it enough. I like that
other bag that Audrey was talking about.... but I need clothes more than I
need handbags. Another Isabella Fiore sale coming soon!
;)
Anyone else do any splurges this weekend?
Stevie
Well...on Friday I went to Nordstroms for the first goround at the
sale. Bought some undies and a bra, the MAC brush set and a cute
puckered white blouse. Went back today and scored a pair of shoes
my SO bought a LOT of clothes the trip was really for him.
Yesterday, however, I went to the outlet center in Leesburg that was
ALL for me! Other than a few items from Crate & Barrel, most of my
purchases were from the Burberry outlet. I finally bought that
quilted jacket got it in a very pretty muted jade green (with the
requisite check lining, of course!). Also bought a wallet and an
umbrella. Got a very cute twin set in the Liz Claiborne outlet by
Sigrid Olsen sort of an army green made in that ribbon yarn. Last,
a very cute pair of flat slides in turquoise from the Aigner outlet
the best buy at $19.99! The rest of the items weren't cheap, but
definitely a substantial savings off the retail prices!
