For me it's not the particular logo that matters, it's the quantity and
placement of them. A discretely placed logo on a handbag doesn't bother
me at
all, but when the whole handbag is plastered with the logos it looks
tacky. In
the clothing arena, Tommy Hilfiger just didn't seem to be able to get his
logos
large enough to suit himself he had to take up the whole sleeve or the
whole
front/back of the garment to get his logo across to anyone and everyone
within
a 50 yard radius of the wearer.

Right. On a Chanel bag I carry a lot, there is the word Chanel on the clasp
and on the Hermes bag it was on the underside of the strap. I think this
distinguishes high end items from others. I love DKNY, but her Tshirts
always have her name plastered all over them (the cheaper line talking about
here that has logos). I admit I buy them, but I'd rather it be something
that didn't distinguish her name. On her more expensive line, this isn't
the case.
