News for Brasivol fans

I saw the original posting dated in February 2003 that Brasivol Fine would be
made available in 6–8 weeks, and it's now late July.
I still don't see it available anywhere. I live in the Dallas area and the only
store chain that carried it was Drug Emporium which has since gone out of
business.
It's not on the Stiefel web site (has anybody noticed that the USA site consists
of broken links)?
Anybody got an ETA as to when this product is going to be available again?
I have to wonder why Stiefel discontinued it briefly since it worked to well.

Received a letter from Stiefel dated June 18, 2003, that stated:
"You have received this letter because you have purchased Brasivol Facial
Cleanser in the past for your practice. As you may know, Stiefel has
discontinued the manufacture of all grades of Brasivol Facial Cleanser in the
U.S. and will by late July, 2003, market only the Fine formula, available in a
tube and imported from our plant in Ireland.
Our facility in Puerto Rico recently ceased its operations and we were notified
of the absolute last existing supply of Brasivol Rough. Although we will try to
accommodate as many of you as possible through our WebDerm mail order division,
please note that we will in fairness need to limit Brasivol Rough order
quantities to 15 jars per practice . . . [rest snipped]"
It's signed Carol Cooke, Customer Service, WEBDERM, INC., Stiefel Laboratories
Inc., 6290 Route 145, Oak Hill, NY 12460, Tel 518–239–4195 Fax 518–239–4415
It's supposedly going to be available in a 75 gram tube rather than a jar.
They said they wold write when it was going to be available, but so far we have
heard nothing.
