Estee Lauder expands holdings, By Shobhana Chandra, BLOOMBERG NEWS
Estee Lauder Cos., the maker of Clinique and Bobbi Brown cosmetics, said
it acquired the Rodan & Fields skin care line, named after two Stanford
University–trained dermatologists who introduced the brand last year.
Terms weren't disclosed. The skin care line is sold in four U.S. stores
and on the Internet, said Marianne Diorio, spokeswoman for New
York–based Estee Lauder. Products by closely held Rodan & Fields, based
in Oakland, treat conditions such as blemishes, breakouts, blackheads
and uneven skin tone.
