pagangr...@aol.com (PaganGrrl9) wailed loudly and vomited the words:
I normally don't like having work dreams because I wake up tired. One night,
when I was waiting tables, I had a dream that I was waiting tables all night
long and that my restaurant had also expanded into a post office. When I woke
up, my legs actually hurt from all the "activity." Interesting things your
mind can do to your body if it believes it actually happened.
when i worked at the Spaghetti Warehouse (i called it the Spaghetti
Whorehouse) in San Antonio, i had a dream one night that i was the
only one at work and that i had four tables. one in the front, one
way in the back in a special room reserved for large parties, one in
the smoking section, and one at the back of the nonsmoking section
(IOW, one at each corner of the restaurant).
when i worked for HEB (grocery store), i had dreams that i was
checking out groceries (i was a checker).
one night, when i was about 19, i had a dream that i was running
across the rooftop of a house, and i jumped to the ground and kept
running. there was a guy that i knew from jr high under the eaves,
and he ran out, grabbed ahold of me and threw me to the ground. i got
up and tried to run again, but he did the same thing. so when i got
up the second time, i punched the crap out of him. it was at that
point that i awoke, because IRL i'd punched my wall and my knuckles
were bleeding.
