Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Perfuem

njh...@aol.com (Cheryl H.)
I just picked this up, what a perfect scent for the summer. It dries
down light and clean.
Here is the description from sephora.com
A stunning perfume overwhelming and irresistible like the joy of
living. Surprising and coloured: the liveliness of Sicilian citron,
the happiness of Granny smith apple, the spontaneity of Bluebells.
Feminine and resolute: the intensity of jasmine, the freshness of
bamboo, the charm of white rose. Deep and true: the character of cedar
wood, the fullness of amber, the embrace of musk.
Blend:
Fruity–Floral.
Notes:
Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith Apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo,
White Rose, Cedar Wood, Amber, Musk.
Style:
Deep and true.

Just checked out Sugar on Fresh's website. What's the base note? Is it very
musky? Light Blue doesn't have a strong musk or amber note, IMO, and I like
that. Is Sugar similar? TIA!

I checked the sephora site and found only this:
Fresh SugarBath Sugar Eau de Parfum
A vibrant fragrance incorporates sparkling citrus notes with delicately sweet
heart and lingering warm base notes.
I am not good at scent descriptions but can say in general Fresh Sugar is
sweeter and not musky like D&G Light Blue. I altered the subject header hoping
some fragrance pro will respond with better detail.

I love the fragrance in Fresh Sugar shower gel, body lotion, body cream, and
soap. However, I was disappointed that the spray fragrance does not smell the
same as the other four products. Anyone else have that experience? Has anyone
found a fragrance that more closely resembles the fragrance in the Fresh Sugar
body products? I love that lemony–scent.

i have the fresh sugar EDP, and i find that it smells like a lemon tart or

I adore it because I *am* a sugary lemon tart! Uh huh.

Back when all the raves were happening here about Fresh Sugar, I ordered the
edp. Someone mentioned the spray smells like Lemon Pledge, and I just couldn't
get that out of my head. Every time I wore it I smelled Lemon Pledge, and
finally gave it away.

Ah, responding to myself, I found this makeupalley review:
It has bergmont, lemon, and Brazilian sweet orange comprise the top notes, while
heliotrope and white lilies sweeten and round the sharp citrus notes.Caramel and
vanilla linger at the base.
But then the reviewer adds: Where are all these notes? I can't smell any.

Thanks, Stephanie. Heliotrope often worries me – smells powdery. Vanilla and
musk aren't faves. But if you say it's sweeter than Light Blue, it sounds
good to me. Especially since I don't smell the musk in LB :) I'll have to
give this one a try. Thanks for your help.
