Linda Evangelista hosts a gala AIDS benefit in Toronto

The supermodel has personal reasons to feel excited about raising money
for the AIDS victims: her Paris booking agent died of the
disease at the start of her modeling career. "Since then,
I've lost colleagues in the business, friends outside of the business.
Everyone I know has been touched by (AIDS)," she said. "It affects all of us."
