Where to buy custom jeans?

I had a pair of jeans made by IC3D a few years ago. IC3D appears to
be out of business, as does American Fit. I also tried the "custom
jeans" service at Lands' End and Bob's Stores, but they are, at best,
rough approximations and not particularly good, so I returned both.
For a while, Levi's was turning out Original Spin, which was another
variation on custom jeans, but that operation is "temporarily"
suspended. So I'm wondering where I can go for custom jeans now. I'd
like custom jeans simply because I prefer a better fit than what's
available off the rack.

Have you tried a tailor? If you find a place, would you email me
direct? I am dying to get a another pair of striped seventies jeans,
and they are hard to find vintage.
