I'm going out next week on a speed date you know, where you meet 12
women for 6 minutes each. Age group 3545. Anyway, the organizer
says most people show up directly from work. Would it be OK to wear a
dress shirt with a medium spread collar (not a button down collar),
and no tie? I love the shirt, but something tells me I may look
sloppy. I don't want to wear a tie. Wear the shirt, or find a button
down collar?

It's a date, so try and look nice. I'd go with a collared shirt and
tie. Just don't go in wearing a suit, I think that would be too much.
