vuitton knockoff

I just purchased a Louis Vuitton wallet from eLuxury.com, which is
supposedly owned by the fashion company. But when I began looking at other
items online, I started seeing differences. My wallet is stamped with "Made
in Spain" and doesn't have have a number stamped in the wallet. Most other
authentic wallets I saw had a manufacturing number and "Made in France"
stamped in them. Is mine fake? Or is it authentic and made especially for
the American market ... ?
Confused ....
