Black Blue Hair Color

Hello i was wondering if anyone has had experience with dyeing there
hair black blue.
Firstly i was told by some female friends that i should dye it that
color because i have dark features already. My skin is pale and i have
a very short goaty. I do not want to look like a goth.
However i am not sure as I am afraid it will come out too dark. My
natrual color is dark brown however it looks pretty much black when i
wet it up and gel it.
I was told Black blue has a shimmer of blue through it which
supposedly is only noticeable in certain light and at best by females.
Any advice
